Collection Spotlight: Impressions

Over the course of the past few weeks, we've been featuring each of our main cabinetry collections. Last week, we talked about UltraMatte (and even featured it in our January 2019 Project of the Month!)

This week, we've decided to go over the Impressions collection. Impressions is a versatile collection that is very easy to care for and has a very stylish, transitional look.

Impressions collection features thermofoil doors which are made using a flexible vinyl material that is applied by heating the vinyl and molding it over medium-density fiberboard (MDF). It has a flawless, silky-smooth surface that resists chipping better than painted surfaces. If you are searching for reasonably-priced with little maintenance style of kitchen cabinets, thermofoil kitchen cabinets are a fantastic choice.

Numerous advantages of thermofoil cabinets are:

Easy Care and Low Maintenance

  • The laminate surface resists stains and is easily wiped down. Stubborn residues such as grease can be removed with a mild all-purpose cleaner. Thermofoil doesn’t require protective coatings, as wood cabinets do, which makes them lower in maintenance.

Uniform Look From Door to Door

  • This kind of cabinet door is the best substitute for solid wood.

Design and Color Versatility

  • A major advantage of choosing thermofoil cabinets is their wide range of color and pattern options. The vinyl surface of these cabinets may be molded into a variety of patterns and shapes, which allow you the choice of a basic flat cabinet or one with an embellished design, and you have the option of matte or glossy finishes.

Impressions has two main series: IL and ID.

IL

IL series is seamlessly constructed with durable, Rigid Thermal Foil (RTF), and warp resistant Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF). The RTF material of your choice is securely sealed onto the MDF composite core leaving a smooth to the touch, seamless surface. They won't twist, crack, or peel and finishing is not needed, which saves time and money. IL series are also dent resistant and easy to clean with a simple soap and water solution. Made of approximately 90% wood fibers and 10% resin to hold it together, MDF maximizes the use of our forest resources by utilizing the residual wood element of forests not used in producing lumber, which could have otherwise ended up in landfills.

ID

ID series is seamlessly constructed with durable, Rigid Thermal Foil (RTF), and warp resistant Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF).
